Leo James Aylwin Tickner spent 22 weeks in his mummys tummy.
We were over joyed to find out we were pregnant and were very cautious of what I did. When I was 10
weeks I had a bleed. Sadly Leo was a twin and his twin sister died.
We werent told about her till she was gone. But Leo carried on.
At 18 weeks on Sunday 6th January 2008 at 8am my waters broke, I called my mum and she came round.
My partner then called an ambulance. I got to the hospital at 9am and was taken to the delivery
suite.
My midwife checked Leos heart beat and found he still had a strong heartbeat. I was told he was fine
and that I would be okay as well.
At half 1 the doctor came and gave me an internal to find my babys foot was out of my uterus and
meant he was on his way out.
I was told I would have to give birth and he would not survive. I was left until the next day to see
if I would go into labour on my own, sadly I did not. At 10:30am I was put on a drip to induce the
labour. The contractions came quickly but the labour was slow.
My morphine machine kept breaking and so did my drips, my alarms were never answered. After a long
14 hours labour Leo was born at 00:40 on the 8th January 2008. Afterwards we were told he was not 18
weeks but he was 22 weeks.
Leo also broke his foot during labour and he weighed 9ounces.
He was beautiful and No one will ever forget him. we spent 38 hours with our gorgeous baby before we
let him go.

Angels visit

the angels are trying to teach me to skip,

I checked in on you last night,
and I saw that you were sad,
I gave you a little angel kiss,
so you wouldn't feel so bad.
I also visited daddy last night,
and I saw his heart was broken,
so I leaned in and in his ears,
these words were softly spoken.

nannys baby part 2
Leo, just had some news from auntie sian, nannys baby isnt growing. please if theres anything you can do help it to grow properly and make sure its healthy. i miss you little. me and daddy are having a hard time again and mummy is very sad. but i love you so much. hope you enjoyed the time i spent down at snell hatch with you. and i pulled some of the over grown grass off cause you couldnt see your plaque. there isnt a day go by that i dont think of you baby xxx all my love mummy
